According to the reports, the incident took place at 3.50 am when the accused went into the armoury, took an AK-47 assault rifle and cartridges, then started shooting at his colleagues. While five people have died, the report claimed that one soldier was injured.

He was last seen on Makarov Street near the Rocket and Space College. He was wearing a camouflage uniform and could hide a machine gun under it.
