The Prime Minister is reportedly considering throwing England back into the same restrictions imposed last spring – where indoor hospitality was banned. It emerged a day after Mr Johnson appeared to rule out any more restrictions before Christmas.
But he warned things were “finely balanced” amid a surge in the number of cases of the Omicron Covid variant.
