The boyfriend of missing Epping mother Ju Zhang has been arrested at Melbourne Airport.
Joon Seong Tan remained in custody on Thursday morning after he was stopped allegedly trying to get a flight out of the city on Wednesday night.
Joon Seong Tan was released without charge on Monday night.
“Victoria Police can confirm a 35-year-old Doncaster man was taken into custody around 6.15pm last night at Melbourne Airport,” a police spokesman said.
“He remains in custody and police will speak to him again today. The investigation into the disappearance of Epping woman Ju ‘Kelly’ Zhang remains ongoing.”
Police say Ju Zhang’s disappearance is extremely out of character.
Ms Zhang, also known as Kelly, was last seen at the home she shares with her eight-year-old son on Winchester Avenue in Epping about 5.30pm on February 1.
The 33-year-old was wearing a pink pyjama top, shorts and no shoes when she was last seen. She had no personal belongings with her other than her mobile phone, which has not been located.
She was reported missing the following evening, on February 2.
Police say anyone who sights Ju is urged to contact triple zero immediately, and anyone with other information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
