A single UK ticket-holder has claimed Good Friday’s massive £122m EuroMillions jackpot, Camelot said in a statement.

The win makes the Brit the fifth biggest National Lottery winner ever.

The person, whose name has not been released, matched all seven numbers in April 2 draw, in addition to the two Lucky Star numbers.

Friday’s winner numbers were 04, 21, 34, 40, 47, and the Lucky Star numbers were 02 and 05.

Camelot’s Andy Carter, senior winners' adviser at The National Lottery, said: "What brilliant news, one UK winner has scooped tonight's massive £122 million EuroMillions jackpot.

"They are now the fifth biggest ever National Lottery winner."

The mystery millionaire also became the 972nd richest person in the UK overnight.

It marks the second UK EuroMillions jackpot in 2021, with another winner bagging £39 million jackpot in the draw on New Year's Day.

The person is two places above Frances Connolly – who recently revealed she had given away an estimated £60m of her fortune to family, friends, the local community and charity.

Frances and her husband won £114m in January 2019.
