Millionaire nightclub boss Jeremy Gordeno is handed a suspended prison sentence for failing to pay £20,000 owed to his ex-wife

  • He was ordered to pay the outstanding money by May or he faces prison
  • Businessman dated model Lizzy Cundy for 10 months, breaking up in 2019 

Millionaire nightclub boss Jeremy Gordeno has been handed a suspended prison sentence for not paying money owed to his ex wife.

Gordeno, the former boyfriend of model Lizzie Cundy, appeared at Reading County Court earlier today.

He faced an enforcement application for more than £20,000 under a Family Court Order.

And during this morning’s hearing it was found Gordeno had refused or neglected to pay a sum of £20,738.66 and imposed a 2 week custodial sentence suspended for 3 months.

The nightclub boss and businessman has until May 18 2021 to pay up.

Gordeno was with ex Lizzie, 52, for about ten months before they broke up in October 2019 after she discovered his close friendship with his ex’s 21-year-old daughter.

She said at the time: ‘I ended it. I want nothing more to do with him.

‘I’m shocked and horrified by recent events’.

Gordeno was ordered to pay back the money by owed by May

The former couple had been introduced through a mutual friend in a Weybridge wine bar and had been seen together at a number of society events as their romance blossomed.

Entrepreneur Gordeno said in a statement: ‘I will always be very fond of Lizzie

‘But events outside our control put our relationship under huge strain. I have come to realise it’s best we stay just friends.

‘The last few months have been like a soap opera. Lizzie and I have been the innocent victim of some wild and false accusations. Life with Lizzie is tremendous fun…

‘We got on really well from the word go. We didn’t stop laughing for weeks. Our friend told Lizzie before we met, ‘Jeremy will cheer you up’ and I hope I did.

‘She’s not only beautiful but great company.’
