It was ruff day for this pup.

The NYPD Harbor Unit rescued a dog struggling to stay above water in Jamaica Bay Wednesday morning.

Officers were patrolling the area when they spotted the dog in the freezing water around 10 a.m., the NYPD said in a tweet.

The pup was pulled from the water and immediately taken to a local veterinarian to be treated, cops said.

The dog named Tinkerbell was later reunited with her owner where she was safe and sound.

“Tinkerbell is in great health & is looking forward to sleeping all day,” the NYPD tweeted. “Thanks to our Harbor members for making this reunion paw-ssible.”
