President Joe Biden’s granddaughters Finnegan and Maisy were pictured in New York City while leaving the glamorous, star-studded Italian restaurant Carbone in Greenwich village at 1a.m. on Tuesday morning.

They all left the fancy eatery laughing and headed back to their five star hotel with five secret service agents.

In place of the high-fashion gowns the siblings wore during their grandfather’s inauguration, both Finnegan and Maisy, 19, opted for night-time outfits, with the former wearing a satin blue dress with black lace and black heels, while her younger sister opted for a two piece street art co-ord set with braided hair and grey sneakers.

The sisters were at the highly-exclusive restaurant with friends and in the evening, Maisy was pictured carrying a Dunkin Donuts bag before her, her sister and their friends all entered a black SUV to head back to their five-star hotel.

Meanwhile, Kamala Harris’ model stepdaughter Ella Emhoff made sure her Met Gala debut went off with a bang on Monday night, when she put on an incredibly glamorous display in a sheer red ensemble – complete with a stunning makeover that left her looking almost unrecognizable.

The 22-year-old, who is signed to Gigi Hadid’s modeling agency IMG, proved herself more than capable of holding her own alongside some of the industry’s biggest stars when she stepped out at the star-studded event – which she attended without her boyfriend Samuel Hine.

Ella, who is known for favoring more funky fashion looks, eschewed a more traditional gown, instead opting for a skin-tight red shirt with a sheer pattern across her abdomen and arms, and a glittery panel over her stomach and breasts.

She paired the figure-hugging shirt with some baggy shiny red pants which were tied up at the waist and tight around the ankles, finishing her ensemble off with some comfortable-looking red sneakers.

The model and knitwear designer – who is the daughter of Harris’ husband Doug Emhoff and his first wife Kerstin – typically opts for a barely-there natural makeup look, however she underwent an incredibly glamorous makeover for the Met Gala.

Choosing to go without her signature wire-rimmed glasses, she had her normally curly hair in a sleek straight ‘do that flicked up slightly above her shoulders – having teamed up with celebrity hairstylist Gonn Kinoshita for the evening.

Back in New York, Finnegan and Maisy’s Monday stroll in the Big Apple’s streets is one of the first times that either has been seen in public since they traveled to Washington, D.C. to take part in their grandfather’s inauguration celebrations – during which both earned praise for their chic fashion looks.

At the inauguration itself, Finnegan looked incredibly chic in a tan brown outfit that featured a long tailored coat, and a matching ensemble underneath. She finished the look off with a matching face mask.

Her sister Maisy meanwhile went with an elegantly-tailored navy suit, following in Finnegan’s footsteps by opting for a monochrome style.

In the evening, the siblings changed into elegant ball gowns to celebrate their grandfather’s milestone achievement at a glittering – albeit small and socially-distanced – party with their close family.

For the evening affair, Finnegan dazzled in a wore a $1,995 coral sequined dress by Markarian, which she paired with black heels, while Maisy put on an elegant display in a $1,575 Rodarte cocktail dress, which she chose to pair with high top sneakers in a nod to her love of basketball.

Both young women earned high praise for their looks, along with the rest of their family, who all made their mark on the evening with their own glamorous outfits.

The two sisters are currently based on the East Coast – where their mother, Hunter’s first wife Kathleen Buhle, lives – however they also travel across the country to spend some time with their father, Hunter, and their baby half-brother, Beau Jr.

Finnegan, who was born in 2000, is a senior at Ivy-league college University of Pennsylvania and has maintained a low profile, although she did attend a Biden campaign rally at Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa, during the 2020 presidential campaign.

Maisy was born in 2001, and she is the youngest of the three children of Hunter’s marriage to Melissa after Naomi, 27, and she’s the same age as Sasha Obama.

President Biden told The Hill in 2019 that his family and the Obamas had a joint graduation party for Maisy and Sasha when they graduated Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C., where Maisy played lacrosse, soccer, and basketball.

‘Her best friend is Sasha Obama. Barack and Jill and the whole family, we had a whole get together,’ Biden told a crowd in Davenport, Iowa.

Over the years, both Maisy and Finnegan have shown unwavering support for their father, despite his many public scandals.

Hunter struggled with drug addiction for much their childhood and he first entered rehab when they were still very young.

He then split with their mother Kathleen in 2015, after more than 20 years of marriage, and that same year, the family had to endure further heartache with Hunter’s brother Beau lost his brother with brain cancer.

Hunter subsequently began a brief relationship with Beau’s widow – Finnegan and Maisy’s aunt.

In recent years, Finnegan, Maisy, and their older sister Naomi, have had to watch on as their father has continued to hit headlines for his colorful personal life. In 2018, the girls become half-sisters to a daughter Hunter fathered with Arkansas based stripper, Lunden Roberts.

Despite the scandals, both Finnegan and Maisy remained as constant sources of support for their grandfather during his presidential campaign – and they proudly stood by his side as he was inaugurated last month.

The girls were last seen in D.C. on January 24, when they attended mass with Biden, his wife Jill, and their father Hunter, and it looks as though they may have traveled to Los Angeles soon after.

It is not known whether Naomi is also spending time in New York City with her two younger sisters.

During their stay in Venice, a neighborhood in Los Angeles where their father Hunter lives, Finnegan and Maisy will have the chance to enjoy their father’s new family home, which boasts an impressive number of luxury amenities, including a lounge with a fireplace and outdoor access that overlooks the pool.

One of the bedrooms also boasts a private balcony that overlooks the Venice canal, and in the communal living area, there is a spiral staircase that ascends to a renovated rooftop deck with a fire pit under hanging lights.
