The unseasonable weather starts today for much of north Wales, the Midlands, and as far north as Blyth, Northumberland. The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning cautioning rain for these areas which will stay stubbornly in place until 9pm tonight. Heavy showers will batter these areas bringing with it possible travel disruption and the risk of localised flooding.
Northern Ireland looks set to receive the worst of the weather tomorrow with a brutal yellow thunderstorm warning in place from 1pm until 10pm.
However, Friday and Saturday see much of England, Scotland and Wales blanketed by the same yellow thunderstorm warning.
The Met Office has warned that the thundery showers will be slow-moving which increases the chance of flooding in the affected areas.
This comes after many areas were badly affected by the erratic weather last week.
A hospital in east London, Whipps Cross, was forced to cancel appointments and delay surgeries because of severe flooding while another hospital in Manchester, Trafford General, was struck by lightning.
The disruption has continued with full force this week without any sign of easing up as roads in the Isle of Wight were destroyed by the force of the heavy rain.

15:14 Pennines and Peak District battered with heavy showers
The Pennines and Peak District are currently seeing the worst of the showers, according to the Met Office.
The concentrated showers are developing as a result of forming convergence lines – which is essentially a band of cloud and rain.
It forms when winds from two directions collide and the air is forced upwards.
If there is enough moisture, clouds will form and rain will fall.
Heavy showers and thunderstorms will continue to affect the midlands and northern England until 9pm tonight.

Up to 30mm of rain could fall in a matter of hours, according to Met Office predictions.
The thundery showers will affect much of the midlands and north of England as well as north Wales until 9pm.
