RED Rock Canyon's scenic loop has been closed following a shooting on Veterans Day.
Metro Police said that they are investigating the situation that broke out just before 6am on Thursday morning.
They also confirmed that "no LVMPD officers discharged their firearms during this incident."
The scenic route currently remains closed while police continue to investigate.
The Red Rock Canyon's Twitter page also confirmed that the area will be closed "until further notice" adding that "lots of folks wanted to get out and enjoy the great weather for Veterans Day."
The route was supposed to be fee-free today to celebrate Veterans Day, however, visitors will not be able to enjoy the route until further notice.
Anyone looking to visit Red Rock is asked to consider alternate locations along Highway 159 or Blue Diamond Road.
